They have been able to diagnose that the actuators are getting the signals they are just not locking. Power door locks do not function. I have a problem with my lwb ford transit 350 i can open the drivers door with key i can t open the passager door i can only open and lock the sliding manually i can t access the back doors from inside or open it. He says he can t guarantee this will fix it though but it would be a start.

Hi i have a ford transit lwb 2009 the problem is the side door will not lock with central locking key fob but front and rear tail doors do so was advise that the side door locking mechanism at fault. This will require the driver to use the key to lock or unlock the doors and can disable the power door locks completely for vehicles that do not use a traditional key such as newer luxury vehicles. Insert the cable ferrule into the latch mechanism and rotate 90 degrees with pliers to lock it in place 4 before re installing the latch assembly attach the other end of the cable to the handle and test that the latch works properly. However the rear barn door actuator is only getting 1 signal and not the other he couldn t remember if it was only getting unlock or lock he has advised that the cause is probably 4 faulty actuators and a wiring issue in the rear barn door.

The cause of the fault is becoming a coming concern on the transit and the tr. For vehicles equipped with door lock cylinders the door can still be opened using the key. I have two fob but none worked if i try to open the back doors or reset the central locking by turning the the key on off 8 times in 10. If the power door lock relay fails it will cut off power to the entire power door lock system and may cause them to not function correctly.
